Oliver James Newby (Blackburn, August 26, 1984-) is an English cricketer who played for Lancashire, whom he joined in 2003, with a one year contract being given to him in 2005, and Nottinghamshire, to whom he was loaned in 2005. In 2003 he played the India A cricket team at Blackpool, and took two wickets in his first two overs. He received a scholarship to the Lancashire Academy, and is known to be able to extract bounce from a cricket surface[1].
