Olive Tree Bible Software - BibleReader

Olive Tree Bible Software is a software company that produces software for biblical analysis and Bible study. The company is Headquartered in Spokane, Washington, and has offices in Portland, Oregon and New York, New York. Development started in 1998 for the Palm OS operating system and now the company supports PDA's, Palm OS, Pocket PC, Symbian, BlackBerry, cell phones and Smartphones.

They are best known for producing the BibleReader (tm) which is a tool used to read, search and do other research on a PDA device also known as a Personal digital assistant. Over one million people have downloaded the BibleReader.

BibleReader is a software reader for PDA's, Palm OS, Pocket PC, Symbian, BlackBerry, cell phones and Smartphones. The technology that drives it is a markup language called OTML - Olive Tree Markup Language.

BibleReader supports Bible commentaries, dictionaries, devotionals, Christian eBooks, audio Bibles, multi-media and Strong’s numbering system. The BibleReader is offered in various languages, including German, French, Spanish and many others. It supports the original Hebrew and Greek texts from which the Bible was translated.

Several free resources are available for the Olive Tree format including: The Four Spiritual Laws.

Over 200 Christian resources are available to work with it.

In March 2005, the company announced that the NIV Bible version would be available.[1] The NIV Bible was lanched for the Handheld Devices. [2]
