Oleksiy Pecherov

Oleksiy Pecherov (born December 9, 1985 in Donetsk, Ukrainian SSR, Soviet Union) is a Ukrainian basketball player. He stands at 6'11". The NBA's Washington Wizards drafted him with the 18th pick in the 2006 NBA Draft. Oleksiy has played with Paris Basket Racing internationally. He may play in the NBA next year or remain stay in the European leagues, depending on whether the Wizards buy out his current contract or not. Oleksiy's major strength is his shooting stroke; he is an offensive threat both in the low post as well as out near the 3-point line.

In 21 minutes a game in the 2006 season he averaged 11.2 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1 block per game. He also made 22 3-point shots in 66 attempts in 22 games played.
