The Oldsmobile Starfire was a rear-wheel drive subcompact car produced from 1975 to 1980. The Starfire name was previously used on the 98 convertible from 1954 to 1957 and on a special edition of the 88 from 1961 to 1966.

The H-body Starfire initially came with only the Buick 231 V6. The 2300 was offered in 1977 and then replaced by the Pontiac 151 in³ Iron Duke in 1978. The Chevrolet 305 also became an option in 1978.
