The Old Market a neighborhood located immediately south of downtown Omaha, Nebraska. The neighborhood has many restaurants, art galleries and stores. The area has uneven brick roads and has horse-drawn carriages; it is also home to many street performers. A less than flattering nickname for those who hang out in the Old Market is "Market Rat".
