Olathe South High School is the second oldest high school in Olathe, Kansas that is still running. Started in 1981, Olathe South has expanded over the years to become a 6A school. Olathe South's Colors are Blue and Gold. Olathe South's mascot is the Falcon.
[edit] Clubs
S.A.S.H. (Students Achieving Social Harmony) is one available activity at Olathe South High School. Students are given semester issues dealing with anything from socioeconomics to religion. The club thus far this year has decorated Childrens Mercy Kansas City as well as hosting a Toys for Tots fund raiser.
The Olathe South theater department puts on three plays including one musical each year. In 2003, Olathe South became the first high school in the United States to perform Footloose. The musical for the 2006-2007 school year was Hello, Dolly.

PCA - Olathe South features a special program called Professional Careers Academy, or PCA. The PCA's goals are to teach students leadership skills and ethics and prepare students for life after high school. [1] The PCA also brings in guest speakers in a program called the "PCA Lecture Series". This has brought in such speakers as ethics professor Marianne Jennings and local judge Janice Russell. [2]
CaSE - This stands for Computer and Software Engineering, the second 21st century program to come to Olathe South. This program provides students with the computer programming skills they need for their future endeavors in the computer market.
Eco-Club- Ran by Tim Oberhelman, eco-club is derived from the Student Naturalist class, which has also gained quite a bit of popularity for those concerned about the environment. Oberhelman says he's been trying to changed the class from a "Petting Zoo" into something special, credible and more educational.
