Oizumi, Gunma

Ōizumi (大泉町; -machi) is a town located in Oura District, Gunma, Japan.

As of 2003, the town has an estimated population of 41,291 and a density of 2,302.90 persons per km². The total area is 17.93 km².

Tokyo plant of Sanyo, which is previously the plant of Nakajima Aircraft Company, is located in this town.

10% of the total population is comprised by foreign residents, mostly Japanese Brazilians, who work at many factories in the town. Since 1990, Japanese descendants in foreign countries have been permitted to stay in Japan freely.

This town has three stations Nishi-Koizumi Station, Koizumimachi_Station, Higashi-Koizumi_Station of Tobu Railway Koizumi Line, connecting to Isesaki Line at Tatebayashi Station and Ōta Station.
