I am Jamie (a nickname for James).
[edit] Thanks in advance!
To all of the nice folks who are kind enough to quickly revert vandalism to my userpage. Hopefully, I'll be able to repay your kindness someday.
[edit] Wikipedia Activities
Favorite activities include counter-vandalism and anti-spam patrol; I also attempt to mediate POV disputes from time to time and mix in a little bit of Wikignome sorts of edits. I need to get back in the habit of weighing in at WP:AFD and WP:RFA, but work and home projects have been keeping me busy.
[edit] Imposters on other language pages
My English and Meta Wikipedia accounts are my only accounts. One or more teenagers from Texas have been creating Ohnoitsjamie pages on other language Wikis and (attempting) to cut-and-paste my English user page. Feel free to indef block them without further question. See the CheckUser case and the long-term abuse case for more info.
[edit] Externally
I live in a nice place and enjoy running. I own a "terrier mix" dog, a tabby cat, and several V8 automobiles, including a 1966 Oldsmobile Toronado, a 1965 Chevrolet Impala, and a 1999 Lexus GS400. I am an indie rock nerd and an information junkie. I also enjoy Dubbels, Double bocks, barleywines, and the color orange.
Currently in the CD changer: Mew's first two albums; Rob Crow's latest solo record, and The Shins newest Wincing the Night Away, all quite excellent.
Two best movies I've seen recently; Pan's Labyrinth and Children of Men. So how about them Mexican directors? If you liked the two aforementioned films, check out other movies from Alejandro González Iñárritu, Guillermo del Toro and Alfonso Cuarón. Every film I've seen from those three has ranged from good to excellent.
I'm also a sucker for anything that David Lynch puts out, including his daily weather reports. Mulholland Drive and the Twin Peaks series have featured some of my all-time favorite film imagery.
I don't care much for most television, but Scrubs is very funny!
This is my favorite category
Props to Master of Puppets for the page redesign
