State Route 85 is an east-west state highway in the northeast portion of the U.S. state of Ohio. The shortest of three state routes that lie completely within Ashtabula County, its western terminus is at the U.S. Route 6/State Route 7 duplex in Andover, and its eastern terminus is just over 2½ miles east of Andover at the Pennsylvania state line, where Pennsylvania Route 285 continues east.

  • 1924 – Original route established[2]; originally routed from Euclid to the Pennsylvania state line along the current U.S. Route 6 alignment from Euclid to Andover, and along its current routing from Andover to the state line[3].
  • 1932 – Dually certified with U.S. Route 6 from Euclid to Andover[3].
  • 1938 – Truncated at Andover; dual certification from Euclid to Andover removed[3].
