State Route 444 is north-south (signed east-west) state highway in the southwestern portion of the U.S. state of Ohio in the Dayton metropolitan area. Its southern terminus is at its interchange with State Route 4 on the western side of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, and its northern terminus is at Interstate 675 2 miles northeast of Fairborn. The route serves Dayton and Fairborn as well as the air force base.

  • 1959 – Original route certified; originally routed from its current southern terminus to Interstate 70 (then U.S. Route 40) 4 miles north of Fairborn along the former alignment of State Route 4 (this route was the former State Route 52 before 1926)[2].
  • 1976 – Northern terminus moved to its current position when Interstate 675 was completed and signed along the alignment from State Route 444’s current northern terminus north to Interstate 70[2].
