Ogndal

Ogndal is a former municipality in Nord-Trøndelag county, Norway.
It was created by a split from Sparbu on January 1, 1885. The municipality, which was known as Skei at that time, had a population of 1.441. On 13 December 1900 the name was changed from Skei to Ogndal.
Small territories of Ogndal were moved to Steinkjer in 1902, 1941 and 1948. On 1 January 1964 the rest of Ogndal, then with 2.678 inhabitants, was incorporated into Steinkjer.
