OET

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Occupational English Test is an Australian English test for people who want to work or study in Australia as a medical staff. The exam is held by CAE (Center for Adult Education).

It consists of four different bands:

-Listening
-Reading
-Writing
-Speaking

Currently, you should obtain at least B for all four bands to be eligible to work as a doctor in Australia. The minimum requirement is subject to change. As of 2006 the minimum requirement for IELTS exam (the other examination which is accepted as an equivalent for OET in Australia and is more usual around the world) was 7 for all bands.
