Oedaleops Campi

Oedaleops is an extinct genus of the family Eothyrididae. It was closely related to Eothyris. Like Eothyris, it was probably an insectivore.

[edit] Discovery and species

Skull fragments from three individuals and some limb elements were found in the Abo Cutter formation in New Mexico. All remains belong to the single known species Oedaleops campi (Langston). It is dated to the Sakmarian age of the early Permian.
