Odette Bancilhon was a French astronomer, active in the 1930s and 1940s at Algiers Observatory. All of her publications are signed O. Bancilhon, a current practice back then.

She discovered the asteroid 1333 Cevenola.

She later married her colleague Alfred Schmitt in the 1940s, and was known professionally as O. Schmitt-Bancilhon.

The asteroid 1713 Bancilhon is named after her.
