I think this is only added when a month is archived. It seems unnecessary for the "current" one. Awolf002 13:40, 7 October 2005 (UTC)

I agree with your comment, but I found it disorienting to follow a long series of pages for the months, each using the convenient naviagtion bar at the top of the page for jumping to pages for the other months, and then reach a page for the current month that did not have the same navigation bar. It was only after being frustrated enough to add the navigation bar to the top of the page that I noticed an alternative navigation system on the lower part of the page. I think the goal should be to make the page user friendly. All of the other pages build an expectation that the navigation bar be at the top of the page. --JWSchmidt 13:54, 7 October 2005 (UTC)
