Octo Suave

"Octo Suave" is the twenty-eighth sub-episode of Tom and Jerry Tales.

Tom and Jerry are in a fishing boat. Jerry has just become Tom's slave. However, when Jerry tries to escape by jumping into the ocean, Tom chases him. Tom is hit by many seaweeds, which makes him look like a mermaid. Later, he encounters an octopus gentleman, who thinks Tom is a lady. The octopus wants to date Tom, and they end up getting lost in the sea. Later, Jerry meets a fish who loves him, and he flees.

• This is an episode where Tom and Jerry both lose.
• The lecherous octopus behaves and speaks in a pseudo-French accent much like Pepe Le Pew. He also bears a striking resemblance to a fairly obscure old Hanna-Barbera character, Squiddley Diddley.
