Ochanomizu University (Japanese: お茶の水女子大学), is one of only two national women's universities in Japan.

Ochanomizu University was founded in 1875 as a teacher training institute for women located in Tokyo's Ochanomizu neighborhood. On September 1, 1923, the campus was burned down during the Great Kanto Earthquake. Thereafter, in December 1932, the campus was moved to its present location in the Ōtsuka neighborhood of Bunkyō, Tokyo.
