Ocean's Deadliest
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Ocean's Deadliest is the final nature documentary made by Steve Irwin before his death, which occurred during filming. It aired in the United States on January 21, 2007, on Animal Planet and Discovery Channel as a simulcast event. It also aired in Australia on January 29, 2007 on the Nine Network.
Terri Irwin, Steve's widow, stated in an interview with Access Hollywood aired on January 11, 2007, that no footage shot the day he died will be used, and that the footage of his injury and death has been destroyed. The show's co-host, Philippe Cousteau, filmed the remainder of the documentary weeks after Irwin's death.
The death was never mentioned during documentary. Instead, portions with Irwin are spread throughout, and the sections in which Cousteau is alone are attributed to Irwin being on the mainland. [1]
