Ocaña el la segunda ciudad más importante del departamento de norte de santander, con una poblacion de mas de 120000 habitantes. Su economía se basa principalmente en el comercio de productos agrícolas hacia otras partes del país. Su clima es templado y oscila todo el año entre los 17°c y los 23°c.
