Note: article was originally created at the title "Obsidian Use"

Obsidian was also very important to the New Zealand Maori. Perhaps someone feels up to adding an entry on this. In my opinion the entry needs amending to at least note that obsidian is found in many other parts of the world and that many stone age peoples have discovered it to be incredibly useful stuff and have fashioned it into a wide variety of marvellous cultural artifacts. Either that or the entry should be renamed "Obsidian use in MesoAmerica"

This really needs to be at Obsidian use in the ancient New World, or something more meaningful. And note the lower case "u". RickK 02:32, 8 Oct 2003 (UTC)
