[edit] Technical stuff
Audio/video features in Obsession include:
- more than 16 colors at once (palette switching, up to 40 colors!)

- 4 channel mods + 2 chanels for effects
- 336*260 overscan resolution (removed top and bottom border + 16 pixel left)
[edit] Trivia
- UDS (Unique Development Sweden) released Absolute Pinball for the PC somewhere in 1996 with tables Desert Run, The Dream Factory, Aquatic Adventure, Balls 'N' Bats (only missing X-ile from Obsession).
- UDS made only one more game for the Atari STe, called Substation. It's a FPS game.
- Peter Zetterberg and Michael Brunnström (now Michael Sundell) (Atari enthusiasts, later founders of UDS) were "annoyed" by the fact that 21st Century Entertainment made a successful series of pinball games for Amiga only (Pinball Fantasies and Pinball Illusions), so they started work on Obsession.
- UDS made the Slam Tilt pinball game for the Amiga 1200 (ported to the PC and written by Klaus Lyngeled, Daniel Strandgren and Christian Björklund), which has been called "the best pinball game ever" by many people.
- Merlin Software have bought the rights to the Atari version of Obsession. They are going to upgrade it to use 256 colours in a first Obsession I version, later to be followed by an Obsession II version, which promises multiball and redesigned tables. This will only be for the Atari Falcon. [1]
