Oberie Coffin is an African-American supercentenarian that is likely to hold the record of the longest officially recorded lifespan at 123 years old (surpassing Jeanne Calment (1875-1997) who died at 122 years). Born in 1883, she has lived through 23 presidencies.

Now living at a Dekalb nursing home, nobody would have noticed her age unless they took a closer look at her paperwork.

She's a double amputee, blind, and can't talk. Coffin has outlived everyone in her family. At the moment Guinness officials are verifying records before placing her in the Guinness Book of World Records. This is considered a rather special case considering that she has reached 120+, and has the paperwork to back the claim.
