Chazz demonstrates his loyalty to Sartorius and the Society of Light by dueling and converting nearly all Obelisk Blue students. To defend them, Alexis steps in to duel Chazz herself. Chazz claims Sartorius has already predicted his victory, so he has no qualms with showing Alexis his hand with Infernal White. Alexis is confused by Chazz's play, but her brother Atticus understands: by showing Alexis his cards, Chazz has effectively made Alexis forget about her own moves while she tries to predict his.
