Obe District

Obe is a district in the northeast of Herat Province, Afghanistan. It borders to the north with Badghis Province, to the east with Chishti sharif District, to the south east with Farsi District, to the south with Adraskan District, and to the west with Pashtun Zarghun District and Karukh District.
The population of the district was estimated at 64,300 in 2005. The district center is the town of Obe (Owbi). The Hari Rud River flows through the district.
