Obanazawa, Yamagata

Obanazawa (尾花沢市; -shi) is a city located in Yamagata, Japan.

As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 21,382 and the density of 57.43 persons per km². The total area is 372.32 km².

The city was founded on April 10, 1959.
