O'Gorman High School

O'Gorman High School is a Catholic high school in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The school was founded in 1961 by Bishop Lambert Hoch. The school is named after Bishop Thomas O'Gorman. O'Gorman was named a Catholic High School Catholic Honor Roll top 50 Catholic high school in the nation in 2004, 2005, and 2006. They were also named a No Child Left Behind Blue Ribbon School for the second time in 2005. The O' Gorman Knights fall sports teams play at McEaneany Field. The O'Gorman football team has captured eight state titles including back to back titles in 2004 and 2005. O'Gorman is also the host of the Bob Burns Dakota Bowl a yearly football game that is a great fundraiser.

Thomas Vanek currently of the NHLs Buffalo Sabres is a graduate of O'Gorman High School
