O'Dea High School

O'Dea High School is a Catholic boys' high school located on Seattle's First Hill.

Founded in 1923, O'Dea is owned by the Archdiocese of Seattle and run by the Congregation of Christian Brothers. Of its 484 students, 72% are Catholics. It is associated with Seattle University's Matteo Ricci College. Being an all-boys high school, it is very closely connected to Holy Names Academy, an all-girls high school on Seattle's nearby Capitol Hill. Annual tuition ranges between $4,224.00 and $8,019.00 as of 2007.

O'Dea is one of the state's premier athletic schools, having won three state basketball titles in the four years preceding 2007, as well as having won the 2005 state baseball title. Its football team has made it to the playoffs for the last 20 years. O'Dea also has the head coach, Monte Kohler, with the best winning percentage in Washington, with over 200 wins. Their track team also has won the Metro League championship a record 10 times in a row.

O'Dea has been dominant in basketball. They have won a state record five 3A titles. In the four years preceding 2007 O'Dea advanced to the state championship game each season, winning three times.
