O'Ceann

O'Ceann is an Irish name.

The O'Ceanns are first found in Derry where they held a family seat from very ancient times.

By tradition proginator of the Scottish Highland Clan Munro was an Irish man called O'Ceann who was the Prince of Fermanagh, who lived in the time of King Macbeth of Scotland. His son was said to be "Donald Munro" who died in 1039.

O'Ceanne or Ceanne is also the name shared by those of extreme wit, intelligence and grace. This name is only ever given to such people with high stature or community standing.
