[edit] Tennessee Center for Policy Research

Please provide a reliable source indicating that "conservative" is not the proper descriptor for this think tank. Its nice that you work there but your opinion is not enough to make such an editorial change when all provided sources describe the organization as clearly being conservative. Thanks.-Hal Raglan 19:35, 12 March 2007

Would a statement from the President and Founder help? Or do you prefer article references?nysara 03:37, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
A statement would be sufficient for us to refer to how you describe yourself. Note however that it is only one opinion so depending on the case, we may want to include other opinions of what you are. Also a statement would need to come from somewhere we can use as a source. For example, a press release on your website. A 'statement' on wikipedia or e-mailing someone is not a suitable source. Thanks for the clarification. Multiple opinions are not at issue here. I understand that our publishing data that illuminates a contradiction in Al Gore's environmental message versus his energy use will lead to claims and accusations being hurled from many sides of this topic and it is relevant to the discussion to mention them. I was just trying to start with an accurate description of our organization before tha article heads into the "Response" section which should be varied since the responses were so wildly different.--Nysara 01:27, 15 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] COI

You might want to read Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. Basically, as the VP of the TCPR you should refrain from editing articles involving your organisation. While we usually allow some leeway for removing inaccucies and you have made it abundantly clear who you are (which is good) it's usually best to just make recommendations on talk pages in cases such as this Nil Einne 01:11, 15 March 2007 (UTC)

Thanks, I will keep that in mind. I identified myself so as to be clear what the source was and to fix an inaccuracy so that other Wiki editors would understand my personal bias, if one exists.
