The station is now part of the South Gippsland Tourist railway, after passenger operations on the line ceased after Cranbourne station in 1993. The station has been restored to its former glory by the volunteers of the South Gippsland Railway, the station also contains the remains of a turntable. Nyora was also final station before the Wonthaggi line branched off from the main South Gippsland line.
