NYC2123

NYC2123 Dayender is the first graphic novel for PlayStation Portable. It is a cyberpunk-themed sci-fi story illustrated in a stark black-and-white style.
Paco Allen founded an independent comic book publishing house called 42 Ninjas with his brother Chad Allen and set out to produce the first full-length graphic novel for the PSP platform.

"In the year 2123, hackers and cyborg mercenaries struggle to make a living in a lawless and corrupt world. Set in New York City seventy years after Manhattan has been devastated by a giant tsunami."

The complete novel covers six chapters.
The first issue was released on August 15th 2005 at www.nyc2123.com.
The second issue was released on September 26th 2005.
The third issue was released on October 31st 2005.
The fourth issue was released on December 12th 2005.
The fifth issue was released on February 19th 2006.
The sixth issue was released on June 19th 2006.

NYC2123 is also the first digital comic book to be released under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike License. This license is a less-restrictive version of traditional copyright protections, and allows other artists and writers to manipulate the work and redistribute it non-commercially.
Thanks to the efforts of fans, the comic has been transtaled in other languages.

NYC2123 itself was designed and illustrated using a variety of digital sampling and re-mixing techniques. Each frame of the book is a digital composite of photos took of actors and background scenes.

Released January 05, 2006, Mark created the first mash-up about NYC2123. It's a video that recaps the story of "NYC2123: Dayender" through issue 4 using Futurama music, dialog and sound effects.
The Network
