Nyago sleeping

Nyago, or Nemukko Nyago, is a Sanrio character. The best-known of these is Hello Kitty. Such characters are depicted on, or embodied in, a variety of products.

Nyago is a boy tabby, yellow with brown stripes. His special characteristic is that he is always asleep. His friends include Kitten, a gray kitten who also likes to sleep, and Birdy, a yellow bird. He is often depicted with a fish in his paws, but this may be only a representation of his dream.

Nyago, who was 'born' May 25, 2000 in the streets of Japan, was dropped from the ever-changing Sanrio line after about 2 years. Nyago items are now rare.
