[edit] Film awards
Hi, I notice you've been adding quite a few film awards stub articles recently. You've been using {{movie-stub}}, but that is now obsolete and being replaced with {{film-stub}}, but what would be even better is if you could subcategorise them. You are adding film awards stubs, so please use the {{film-awards-stub}} instead. Also if you add other stubs please try to subcategorise them to the lowest possible level. Thanks. --Cooksey 23:31, 23 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Templates
Hey, I noticed that you designed the templates for Will & Grace. There are several ideas that I've got to make some pages a little bit more user-friendly in terms of the code. I'm trying desperately to understand how templates work, but Help:Template really isn't doing the trick. Is there an easier way of learning how to do that? Tomtheman5 21:58, 27 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Oscar images
I don't think it's such a good idea to simply put an image of an oscar on a film page. If you're trying to highlight that the film received an Oscar, there are categories and infoboxes for things like that. The image only clutters the page and gives no new information. Please give a good explanation for the use of these images, or I will ask other users if I am right to begin taking them off the pages. Thank you, JHMM13 (T | C) 19:42, 2 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Phoenix Film Critics Society Awards
From long experience I can be pretty sure that these awards will, if left as individual articles, be nominated for deletion; for example, we recently saw a a whole bunch of a radio station's top X hits of year X awards nominated in one hit.
These awards are not nationally covered (like the Oscars or Golden Globes), and even the Phoenix Film Critics Society is not exactly well known, however worthy it might be. I suggest that the best solution is to merge the awards to a table in the mian article, with each year's winners as a column. - Just zis Guy, you know? [T]/[C] AfD? 19:11, 8 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Oline Awards
I noticed that you working on the Oline Awards, and they are shaping up really nicely. But the only thing is that the article titiles need to follow Wikipedia naming conventions. That would be (for example): Online Film Critics Society Awards (XXXX) and not 8th Online Film Critics Society Awards. But, before I changed them myself, I wanted to check in with you for your inut on whether they (XXXX) shoudl be the year of production, or the year that the awards are announced. For example, do you think the eighth year of awards should be (2004) or (2005)? Since you keep up with them, I though you might know which one would be better for fans.--Esprit15d 21:08, 10 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Categories
I've noticed that many of your articles are not categorized. You may want to make some categories for the Kansas City film awards and others. For information about categorization see Wikipedia:Categorization. --Samuel Wantman 09:26, 12 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] The Office cats
Did both The Office (UK) and The Office (US) win Golden Globes? If it's just the American version you should probably remove the cats from the The Office article and move them to the US version's. Mrtea (talk) 23:46, 12 January 2006 (UTC)
- Okay great, looks like you've made the switch. Another request though, don't forget to use edit summaries! Especially when you're doing what you're doing. It helps users who are watching articles quickly determine what's been changed. Thanks and good luck, Mrtea (talk) 00:20, 13 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Moving pages
Hi! It looks like you're trying to move one or more pages. However, please stop doing that this way - the new name of the page might be good, but Wikipedia has another procedure for moving pages. Look at Help:Renaming (moving) a page: you need to use the move tab, and not cut and paste. Cut and paste moves don't take the edit history with them and thus violate the GDFL copyright terms. Also, in some cases, when the move might be controversial, you might first want to discuss the move on the article's talk page. If a move is not possible because a page with the new name already exists, go to Wikipedia:Requested moves. Thanks! --JoanneB 13:11, 15 January 2006 (UTC)

This article lists:
- 1981: Isabel Sanford, The Jeffersons
- 1982: Carol Kane, Taxi

[edit] You edited the wrong Pushing hands article
Pushing hands is a martial arts related article. A DVD cover for a movie is NOT a suitable image to represent that martial arts concept. The article: Pushing Hands (film) would be a more suitable place for that image :). -- A human 22:59, 16 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] New categoires
When you make a new category, please ensure that the new cat has been added to at least one existing cat. I have added several of your new cats for Category:Film awards as I find them in Special:Uncategorizedcategories . -- Pinktulip 02:11, 19 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] 2006 Australian Open - Men's Singles
Hi, where did you get the data for this page from? Do you think Wikipedia really needs the results of every game played? If you are going to keep adding this info, please start wikifying it - ie put Roger Federer instead of Roger Rederer. [edit] Image Tagging Image:Switzerland flag.png
|
Thanks for uploading Image:Switzerland flag.png. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL-self}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. [edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Switzerland flag.png
Thanks for uploading Image:Switzerland flag.png. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Thank you. Mushroom (Talk) 00:57, 16 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] 2006 French Open results pages
Hi,
Just to say, good work on the tennis singles results for the French Open. Keep it up! - Nick C (Review Me!) 18:32, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for updating the Maria Sharapova performance timeline after her French Open participation. Will it be ok if you update every relevant information (i.e. win-loss record) that might be affected by it? You already started it. It appears that you also updated the overall win-loss without updating the clay win-loss. And don't forget the career win-loss column. I tried doing it but got confused and I might just double count the results. Can you finish it? Thanks! Joey80 06:39, 5 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] International Squad Templates
Just said I would tell you about this. A trend has started on wikipedia lately of doing each country's world cup squad going back for years. This is turning into a bit of a problem as certain players have played in numerous world cups. Just look at Paolo Maldini
My solution is redoing these international templates with a "Hide" feature as you have already done in all the tennis edits you've done in the past. As you can see I've only done a very basic job on editing your creation as below.
I'm not as yet able to add the country's flags or increase the size of the writing. I'm not able to change the colour of "Hide" either. Just wondering if you want to have a go at improving it so it can be used in articles as you seem to know whats going on with the programming.
If you want to contribute please post your replies at the discussion section at Template:World Cup Squads as there could be a number of people contributing to this.
Thanks

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Bourne supremacy poster.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Bourne supremacy poster.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Awyong Jeffrey Mordecai Salleh 20:14, 11 October 2006 (UTC)

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. —Carolfrog 10:32, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] GLAAD Media Awards
Looks like you had a hand in creating this page so I wanted to let you know I was considering making a few article mergers. The current version of GLAAD Media Awards is incredibly short (stubby) and hence I proposed to merge it into GLAAD (which is also stubby). However, upon review of GLAAD's info on the topic, it might be better to expand the article. If ya ever get bored, come on over to help expand it. Thanks, ZueJay (talk) 07:34, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] AfD nomination of Road to the 76th Academy Awards
An editor has nominated Road to the 76th Academy Awards, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not"). Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Road to the 76th Academy Awards and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. [edit] Unspecified source for Image:Shakespeare in Love cd.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Shakespeare in Love cd.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 17:30, 31 March 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Adambro 17:30, 31 March 2007 (UTC)
