[edit] Future infrastructure

Just a quick word on usage of {{future infrastructure}}: the term "sortkey" is a technical term for where an entry should appear in an alphabetical category listing, like Pennsylvania Station (New York City) is sorted under "New York" in Category:Amtrak stations. It's usually not useful, so you can omit it (the default is the article name). Also, you don't have to add the category Category:Future infrastructure to the page; just adding the template automagically includes the category. First, check the 'What links here page' from the Clybourn page: [2]. All those pages refer to the plain Clybourn location and will need to be updated to Clybourn (Metra)... that page can be accessed to check the incoming links after the page is moved.

To do the actual move, on the Clybourn page, click the move tab (next to history). Fill out the fields and press the button. -- Loco830/Espio (Rant) 18:05, 24 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Metra box

I've created a Metra line box template in the style of the CTA line box. I've converted all the Metra station articles I saw to use the template. The code is, using the UPN Davis Street stop as an example:

Omitting the previous or next terms results in Terminus being displayed. The only downside to the current template is that it adds 'Line' to the end of the service name, resulting in, for example 'SouthWest Service Line' being displayed and linked to. For the moment, I've created redirects for the lines without 'Line' at the end.

[edit] Deletion of rail accidents

Excuse me sir, but I strongly disagree with your deletion of the recent railway accidents which happened in The Netherlands of List of rail accidents. Your argument that no one was killed, is to my humble opinion not a qualifier to determine if it was a railway accident or not. The accidents you removed were quite disruptive for the train circulation in the country (both Rotterdam and Arnhem stations were blocked, though you may not be able to read the Dutch on the referenced web pages, you can see the damage at the pictures in the article). It was fortunate no lives were lost, but it was certainly an accident, both caused by flaws in the safety system. Furthermore, you enhanced the India bombing accident. That is not a railway accident (though it happened at a railway, but it could have happened anywhere), it is a terrorist attack. I reverted your deletion, if you want to delete my additions again, I suggest you go through the list and delete everything that did not take lives (and that's quite a few). Sorry if my tone is a bit harsh, but I have put quite a lot of work in that particular edit you have removed. --Brinkie 09:25, 23 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Exposition Park (Los Angeles)

I am confused by your recent edit to Exposition Park (Los Angeles). You added the following category, Category:Parks in Los Angeles, to the article, which as you can see by the redlink, does not exist. The article was already in Category:Landmarks in Los Angeles, which is where all the other LA area parks are categorized (such as Griffith Park).

If you don't mind my asking, can you explain why you changed the Hartford County category and replaced it with the new Manchester, CT category? I can understand adding the Manchester category, but it doesn't make sense to me why you removed the Hartford County category from the article. Leebo⁸⁶ 03:39, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

Okay, well, as long as it's not actually changing anything since the Manchester, CT category is within the Hartford County category as a subcategory. It's a lot of articles, not one in particular really... I just saw a bunch of changes and I didn't know if there was any discussion related to it. Leebo⁸⁶ 03:44, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
