[edit] Biography
Nutty P grew up with his grandmother in West London. On Sunday afternoons after lunch, his grandmother would iron clothes and play reggae records, which later influenced him. He went to Hurlingham & Chelsea secondary school and gained in interest in music there. He then went on to further education at St. Charles Catholic Sixth Form. While studying there, he began to make music in his bedroom, working on his unique musical style and practicing writing. Soon, he gained the attention of Sony and began working with Big Brovaz on their second album.
In 2004, he took part in the Jump Off producer battle, where he was victorious and took with him £1000 and a large trophy. He put the money aside to continue building his home studio, which would later become The Bakery. Later that year, his grandmother passed away. He was forced to move house, and in the process, sunk into a depression which he called the dark place, but was also a time where he found himself most creative. From the help of his beloved friends, which he considers to be his family, he pulled through the depression and came to a stage in his life he calls living dangerously.
He is now one of the most dominate producers in the UK hip hop scene, although doesn't believe it himself, due to his unique style of sampling but playing live instruments over it. His style can only be described as eclectic.
