Nuthall
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Nuthall is a village located in Nottinghamshire, England, neighbouring Kimberley, Cinderhill and Basford. It is part of the Borough of Broxtowe.
Nuthall is split into two general areas, Old Nuthall, which lies between Nuthall Island and Kimberley, and New Nuthall, which lies between Bells Lane and Nuthall Island. New Nuthall is bordered by the Broxtowe Country Park and a bypass road which was built to cut down on through-traffic.
In comparison to New Nuthall, the houses in Old Nuthall tend to be larger and more spaced out[citation needed]. The estate has a larger number of elderly residents, especially in areas of the estate consisting of bungalows. New Nuthall is largely semi-detached housing estates and occupied by a younger population.[citation needed]. The area's crime rate is generally low, but residents living near the Broxtowe Country Park in New Nuthall often have trouble with youths crossing the park from the council estate of Broxtowe which borders the park on the opposite side[citation needed].
