[edit] "So he can properly protect miaka"

In the current article, it says "Near the end of his life he dresses as a man so he can properly protect Miaka". Is it just me, or is that a misleading statement? Throughout the story it seemed pretty clear that he protected her properly even when he was dressed as a woman. Perhaps we could word this part differently?
