[edit] Condition
Nurse Gollum is described in her first appearance on the show as suffering from the (fictional) condition "conjoined twin myslexia". For more on this episode see below. Sheila Broflovski asked her if she could have it removed, but Nurse Gollum stated yes, but that it would cost her life.
[edit] Conjoined Fetus Lady
In her first appearance, Kyle was sent to see the nurse concerning an injury he received while playing dodgeball. He was reluctant to see her after hearing rumours that she was hideously deformed. When he saw her condition he told the other children who were all terrified. Local busybody and protestor Sheila Broflovski was angered that her son was rude about her condition. So Sheila and Mayor McDaniels held a special week for Conjoined Twin Myslexia awareness. By the end of the week, Nurse Gollum was angered that she just wanted to live her life normally, and that she had been singled out in this week which was entirely what she didn't want. Sheila felt Nurse was ungrateful, while the children changed their negative opinions upon hearing the speech.
[edit] Freak Strike
In the season six episode Freak Strike, Nurse Gollum can be seen amongst the crowd of freaks who were protesting for better prizes after going on talk shows like Maury.
[edit] Episodes in which Nurse Gollum is prominent
- Conjoined Fetus Lady was her first appearance in which the town had a special week for her. She can be seen in the original pilot but in that, she doesn't have the conjoined twin.
- She then appeared in Roger Ebert Should Lay Off the Fatty Foods when she tried to make sense out of a child who ran away from the planetarium and stowed away on the South Park school bus.
- She had a cameo in South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut where she was seen putting her washing out to dry at the start.
[edit] Trivia
- Her surname is a reference to Gollum, a fictional character in The Lord of the Rings.
- In the German version of the show she is voiced by adult film star Dolly Buster.
