The Kids Squad are a large organization of kids who, like the KND, are dedicated to protecting other kids from the tyranny of adults and evil teenagers. Their characters are based off the U.S. Army, being named with terms like "Gum Squadron" and "Children's Brigade". The members of the Kids Squad are:

The Gum Squadron are a Kids Squad team dedicated solely to protecting children's rights to consume candy and other sugary, teeth-rotting goods. When the Sector V team first met the Squadron, the latter helped the operatives defeat Mega Mom and Destructo Dad. Later, the Gum Squadron challenged Numbuhs 1 and 4 to a duel using Gum Guns (their favorite weapon) by capturing the other operatives. After Numbuhs 2, 3, and 5 freed themselves, the team defeated the Gum Squadron together, at which point the Squadron admitted their true intentions: to test the KND to see if they were worthy allies. Apparently, they checked out okay, since the Gum Squadron has returned to help the KND fight some of their more frequent enemies, such as Farry Fanbrite, as well as aid the KND in their fight against all the villains, who had joined forces and formed the Villains' Intelligence League of Enemies (a.k.a. V.I.L.E.). Various VAs have voiced the Gum Squadron in the KND Videogames: Jeff Bennett, Cree Summer, Jason Harris.

The Children's Brigade is the Kids Squad's version of the Cadets Next Door, started by Katherine "Katie" Umbrage. The Brigade consists solely of young children, including the siblings of the Sector V team. Numbuh Three's sister Mushi was kicked out by Katie after Mushi turned evil and subsequently became a minion of the Delightful Children in Operation: S.P.A.N.K.E.N.S.T.I.N.E. Also a member is David Newman, younger sibling to Michael Newman formerly Numbuh 260 of the KND. The members of the Brigade are also members of the Y.O.U.T.H. agency since Katie, the founder of the Brigade, was a member of Y.O.U.T.H. at one time.

[edit] Katherine "Katie" Umbrage
Katherine Umbrage, better known by her nickname Katie (voiced by Tara Strong), is the founder of the Children's Brigade. She is the younger sister of KND training operative Numbuh 60, from whom she learned all about the Kids Next Door organization. She was raised by her mother at birth, allowing her to keep her last name, Umbrage, while Numbuh 60 got the last name of Drilovsky. Katie very much resembles, in height and in appearance, the imaginary girl, Katie, that Numbuh 1 dreamed up in Op UTOPIA. In fact, when they first met, Numbuh One thought Katie was the Katie from the Happy Headband's paradise. Chester is also Katie's uncle, meaning that Numbuh 60, a Kids Next Door operative, is related to a Kids Next Door enemy, although Numbuh 60 does not realize this. She was a frequent member of the Y.O.U.T.H. agency's Young Artist sect before starting the Children's Brigade.

David Newman (voiced by Dave Wittenberg) is a member of the Children's Brigade, a segment of the Kids Squad, along with Katie. He is an accident-prone boy (though not as accident-prone as former Kids Next Door agent Numbuh 13) who is almost always getting himself into trouble with his teachers. This, he believes, makes him perfect for a team that fights adults, including teachers. He is also musically inclined (a nod to the famous American composer David Newman, who shares his name with the KND Fanfic character). David first appeared in Operation: RETURN OF FARRY, where he was rescued from a pack of Were-Hounds who wanted to eat his homework. He helped in the impending fight against Farry and the R.O.B.O.K.I.D.'s after he had fully recovered. He is the younger brother of Michael Newman, even though David hates and despises his older brother for betraying the KND (who are the Kids Squad's role models). Katie and David both help Numbuhs 3 and 4, along with the Kid Ninjas and the Little Traitor Dudes for Children's Defense, defeat V.I.L.E. in Operation: V.I.C.T.O.R.Y.

Sally appeared in the second half of Operation: V.I.C.T.O.R.Y. after the KND returned to Sector V. Similar to Beast Boy seeing Terra in "Things Change", the final episode of the Teen Titans animated series, Numbuh 3 saw Sally wandering around in schoolgirl clothes and thought she was her future granddaughter, who was also named Sally, from Operation: F.U.T.U.R.E.. Sally, however, proved not to be the old heroine, though she still saved Numbuh 3 from a gruesome fate when Numbuh 3 was attacked by the monster Vygen as a dragon. Numbuh 3 repaid the favor by saving Sally's life when she was about to be crushed by summoning H.I.P.P.I.E.-H.O.P. The two girls became great friends after that. It has been announced that Sally will appear in future fanfics, as she is a popular character despite appearing in only one fanfic. She is voiced by Tara Strong, who also voiced Sally Sanban in Op. F.U.T.U.R.E.
[edit] Kid Ninjas from the Dojo
The first group to bear the KND initials were the Kid Ninjas from the Dojo, a group of ninja kids who live on an island separated from the mainland. The Kid Ninjas also have their own headquarters, the Dojo, where they train to become elite fighters. Their only known foes (up until they met Sector V and the DNK) were the Dastardly Duo from the Left Tunnel, a group of Delightful Children-esque teens. The DDFTLT were responsible for the cave-in that trapped the Kid Ninjas until Sector V and the DNK found the island and Numbuh Four accidentally reopened the Dojo. After the KND and DNK helped the Kid Ninjas beat the DDFTLT, who had allied with the Delightfuls, in their giant robot, the Kid Ninjas agreed to help the KND against the evil adults, but only after the former finished repairing their almost-collapsing dojo. Various VAs have voiced the Kid Ninjas in the KND Videogame Op. THE END IS NEAR: Ben Diskin, Lauren Tom, Dee Bradley Baker, Cree Summer, and Carlos Alazraqui.
