Kuki Sanban, codenamed Numbuh Three or Numbuh 3 is a fictional character in Codename: Kids Next Door. Voiced by Lauren Tom. Her Spanish voice actor is Gaby Ugarte and her Brazilian voice actor is Christiane Monteiro.

The youngest member of Sector V (having her tenth birthday in Operation: F.A.S.T.-F.O.O.D.; a running gag in Operation: T.R.I.C.Y.C.L.E. was that she thought Sector V was throwing her a surprise birthday party, despite that her birthday wasn't for another "year and a half", according to Numbuh 4) and the only Asian member of the team, Numbuh Three has an extremely short attention span except when she is enjoying the things she loves. Numbuh 3 is also very sweet, treating not only her teammates, but all the KND's foes, like friends, even while fighting them.

Though seemingly oblivious to danger and the severity of some of the situations she's put in, she is quite adept at taking care of herself ("Op F.A.S.T.F.O.O.D.," "Op M.A.C.A.R.R.O.N.I."), and can be downright scary when angry or when the things she loves are threatened.

She can also tell what some one's true intentions are when no one else can ("Op F.U.T.U.R.E.", "Op B.R.I.E.F."), and occasionally makes factual observations in a Zen-like manner ("Op M.U.N.C.H.I.E.S.", "Op S.A.T.U.R.N.") Her outlook and attitude seem to be popular with the boys, as Numbuh 30c, King Sandy, and The Kid have all taken an interest in her at one time or the other, much to Numbuh Four's chagrin.

Her alias is "The Flirt".

Numbuh 3 is the expert of diversonary tactics of Sector V; she has also been shown as a nurse. In Operation: F.E.R.A.L. she was briefly the leader of Sector V, given the position by Numbuh 86. She was briefly "it" (supreme leader) in Operation: I.T., although she tagged Numbuh 65.3, making him "it".

Although her role in the team is listed as "diversionary tactics", she is also portrayed in a medical capacity, donning a light blue nurse's uniform and attending to the other kids' injuries. She also seems to be in charge of caring for the hamsters that power the treehouse.

She is obsessed with flowers, cute things, and plush toys, especially Rainbow Monkeys. Her love of Rainbow Monkeys is so great that she can smell them miles away (see "Op R.A.I.N.B.O.W.S." and "Op S.A.T.U.R.N."). In Operation: S.A.T.U.R.N. she says she smells them with her heart and not her nose; however, in Operation: R.A.I.N.B.O.W.S. she is seen sniffing with her nose.

Recently, she is shown to possess some skill in piloting planes when she takes over for a food-poisoned Numbuh 2 during a hamster flight to Jamaica (Op. H.O.L.I.D.A.Y.). She even slips into aeronautic lingo and makes preparations for a difficult emergency landing until she is felled by Lizzie's truly repulsive cooking.

She was briefly seen as a teenager in "Op G.R.O.W.-U.P," where she wears a high ponytail and seems to be the tallest teen. Unlike most of her teammates-turned-teens, it seems that she won't have to undergo the more awkward side-effects of adolescence, such as braces and pimples--at least not to the others' extent.

In the future, as seen in "Operation: F.U.T.U.R.E.", Numbuh Three has a granddaughter, Sally, who looks and acts very much like her.

In an alternate future in Operation: W.H.I.T.E.-H.O.U.S.E. Numbuh 3 looked and acted exactly like her mother. Numbuh One even pointed this out during the credits. She was Numbuh 1 (as adult President of the United States: President Uno)'s most trusted financial advisor.

She has a rabbit mech called "H.I.P.P.I.E.-H.O.P.". Although she normally pilots it, it does have some automatic functioning as well, and seems to be able to talk to her via her wristwatch communicator (Op T.U.R.N.I.P.). In all of its appearances as of late season 5 (Ops T.U.R.N.I.P., G.R.O.W.-U.P., F.U.T.U.R.E., F.L.U.S.H., C.H.O.C.O.L.A.T.E.), it has been totally destroyed every time (smashed by a huge turnip root, kicked by the Delightfuls' machine, buried under a fallen castle turret, stomped by Mr. Wink and Mr. Fibb's superchair, sprayed with chocolate by Heinrich), resulting in her ejecting from it through its ejector seat (except for Op F.L.U.S.H., when it was acting on its own) with parachute opening when she already falls on the ground.

Although she has a short attention span and is usually absent-minded, she can be very sensitive towards certain actions or comments from other people usually those whom she has for friends, namely Numbuh Four's, who, despite his obvious crush, manages to upset her more than the others by insulting the things she believes in or Rainbow Monkeys - as seen in F.I.S.H.Y., C.A.T.S., H.U.G.S., S.A.T.U.R.N., S.N.O.W.I.N.G. and so on. Her biggest fear is an evil Rainbow Monkey who can't be turned good.

She displays the worst of temperaments when really upset, to the point of acting as a completely different person. Her personality duality has been triggered more than once, even for the slightest of causes (C.A.K.E.D.-F.O.U.R.). In any case, she has managed to befriend the most monstrous of beasts, and cares for just about everyone.

Numbuh 3 can become extremely angered at times, something she possibly inherits from her family. She seems to "snap", as she is either happy-go-lucky or furious. She has demonstrated this is brief moments of episodes; i.e. in Operation: C.A.T.S. she was mad at Numbuh 4, indicating this in a growl.

Two times she has completely gone into an evil rage. In Operation: N.A.U.G.H.T.Y. she is angry because no one gets her presents even when she gets them presents, and uses Santa Claus' reindeer system to get all the presents in the world. Numbuh 4 is able to calm her down by giving her a Christmas present: french fries (which he steals back during the credits).

This has also been demonstrated in other episodes; in Operation: L.I.C.E. she wanted revenge on the huge lice for destroying her stuffed animals. She was also angry when Numbuh 4 didn't like the idea of helping the living mustaches. She was also angry in Operation: F.I.S.H.Y. when she wanted for pet fish, "Mr. Fishy".

Numbuh 3 wears an oversized green sweater and her eyes are rarely shown; her hands rarely seen, and black-and-white shoes. Her pajama shirt is purple.

Numbuh 1 lacks patience with Numbuh 3: he clearly does not think much of her as a member of Sector V (in F.A.S.T.-F.O.O.D., when she asks to lead a mission, Numbuh 1 gives her an absurd assignment, afraid of her skills). This lack of patience, however, doesn't stop them from being on generally good terms.

Although Numbuh 2 is also rather short on temper regarding Kuki's absent-mindedness, he has come to bond with her through their parental responsabilities regarding Bradley the Skunk, whom they adopted in Op. C.A.M.P. and have reunited with twice again in Ops. H.O.S.P.I.T.A.L. and S.I.X..

Numbuh 5 is the only member of Sector V who is patient to Numbuh 3. Numbuh 3 is seen most around her and Numbuh 4. As the other girl from the sector, both are seen many times together, usually 5 consoling 3.

Numbuh Four has a not-so-secret crush on Numbuh Three. One of the show's running gags is his attempts to either confess to her or deny his feelings for her. References to his love for her have ranged from simple acts of defiance in earlier episodes (such as Operation O.F.F.I.C.E.) to more poignant subplots in later ones (Operation E.N.D.). So far, proof to this crush has materialized in:

Numbuh Four being jealous of Numbuh Three's apparent crush on somebody (Op H.O.S.P.I.T.A.L.), simple flirtation with other kids (The Kid in particular; Ops R.E.C.E.S.S. and C.A.K.E.D.-F.O.U.R.)

An abduction of Numbuh Three (Ops B.E.A.C.H. and K.A.S.T.L.E., both times by King Sandy)

Occasions where he had to dance or sing with her (Ops. D.A.T.E. and L.O.V.E. and P.A.R.T.Y respectively) as well as countless times where they are paired in a mission, by chance or will.

Furthermore, Numbuh Four has come to nearly confess his feelings for her (Op U.N.D.E.R.C.O.V.E.R.) and has a drawing of her taped to the wall of his room (Op S.N.O.W.I.N.G.). In Op S.A.T.U.R.N. he is talking in his sleep: "so you do like me too? Well why didn't you say it before? You know how I feel".

He has a code of making matters "personal" whenever he hurts Numbuh Three in a way he did not intend (Ops C.A.T.S., etc.). When Numbuh Three is kidnapped by King Sandy in Operation: B.E.A.C.H, he goes to great lengths to save her, his excuse being that she owes him a quarter (which she later denies).

In the feature length movie Operation: Z.E.R.O, they kiss, albeit at the request of Numbuh Three, who had turned into a senior citizombie in the dark, this in turn transformed Wally into a citizombie, and the two shared a full kiss in this aged, disgusting form in front of the remaining Sector V members. How much of this they remember upon being reverted to normal has not been disclosed.

He is the only character whom she repeatedly hugs (and asks to say "I love you" in Operation C.A.T.S.), sings a duet with him (Operation L.O.V.E.), etc. She's usually seen standing/sitting by him. In Operation: P.L.A.N.E.T, Wally is pressured to tell Three something important by Numbuh Two, which eventually is revealed to be little more than something stuck between her teeth, and not an admission of love.

The Kid has a crush on Numbuh 3 as shown in Operations C.A.K.E.D.-FO.U.R and R.E.C.E.S.S. It may be true that Numbuh 3 likes The Kid too. With proof of a little flirting.The Kid's proof is pushing her on the swing at recess in Operation R.E.C.E.S.S.

In Operation B.E.A.C.H. Numbuh Three was kidnapped by Sandy's guard to become his queen. However, Numbuh Four arrived and fought Sandy, eventually destorying the castle and rescuing her. In a later episode he came after her again but settled on her younger sister.

In Operation A.R.C.T.I.C, Numbuh 30c said that Numbuh 3 was cute.

Numbuh 3's family consists of her irritable father, Kani, and mother, Genki. She also has a younger five-year-old sister, Mushi. In the future, as seen in "Operation: F.U.T.U.R.E.", Numbuh Three has a granddaughter, Sally, who looks and acts very much like her. She mentions a grandfather in Operation: T.U.R.N.I.P.

Her mother works for the same accounting firm as Numbuh 4's father and Numbuh 2's mother, although she has a much higher position and acts heavily serious. Her father acts just as serious, but tends to be more critical of Numbuh 3's actions.

She is Japanese, moving to the U.S.A. when she was very young. She appears as a somewhat stereotypical Asian; her eyes are usually closed and appear small while open. Though earlier season episodes depict her with a bit of an accent, it seems to have decreased as the show goes on.

In the movie, Numbuh 3 volunteers to go to Sector V's treehouse with Numbuh 4 to pick up Numbuh 2's device so he can remodel the birthday suits. They encounter several Senior Citizombies there, and she is turned into a Senior Citizombie. She kisses Numbuh 4 offscreen, which turns him into a Senior Citizombie. She later kisses him on-screen; now both Senior Citizombies, saying "they found each other".
