Nigel Uno, codenamed Numbuh 1 is a fictional character in Codename: Kids Next Door. He leads Sector V and Voiced by Benjamin "Ben" Diskin (English) and Oscar Flores (Spanish).

His name “Uno”, meaning “1” in Spanish, is a play on his KND identification number.

Nigel Uno was born in England, but moved to the US when he was three years old (Operation: E.N.G.L.A.N.D.) after his father joined an American orchestra as 16th tuba.

Once in the US, he became friends with KND operative Abigail Lincoln, who introduced him to the KND cadet training program. Despite showing promise Nigel was rejected by the program for failing to achieve a high enough score during his time as a cadet. However, recognizing his potential, Abigail Lincoln hacked into the KND computer system and changed his score. Resulting in him becoming the second member of the current cast to join Sector V (Abigail Lincoln being the first. ("Operation: T.R.E.A.T.Y.")

It was hinted Nigel had failed the cadet program because Numbuh 274, motivated by ealousy had purposefully given him a poor evaluation. Though this was never confirmed on screen.

Prior to the start of Season 1, Nigel had a full head of brown hair. However, he was taken prisoner by the Delightful Children From Down The Lane, leaving Abigail to choose between rescuing him and completing her mission. Abigail chose the mission, and by the time that she was able to get to Nigel, the DCFDTL had rendered him bald. (Operation: F.O.U.N.T.A.I.N.). Nigel later became the leader of Sector V, with Abigail as his second in command.

For much of the series he is referenced as being in the fourth grade of Gallagher Elementary School. He celebrated his 10th birthday during Operation: J.E.W.E.L.S

A workaholic, Nigel is always serious and focused on his duties as a KND operative, often putting them above his own safety and happiness.

He has a tendency to take things too seriously, and to work his team too hard, which can cause conflict in the ranks. Despite this, he is respected by his Sector and by KND command.

Nigel's unnamed mother was heard during the Season 1 episode “Operation: C.A.N.N.O.N.”, but does not appear on screen until Operation: K.N.O.T.. She is referenced throughout the series, but made only a single appearance on screen during the series. She is voiced by Jennifer Hale.

Nigel's father, Montgomery Uno, made his first appearance during the Season 2 episode “Operation: O.O.M.P.P.A.H.”. He appeared in a number of episodes, including “Operation: E.N.G.L.A.N.D.” in which Nigel's connection to England is expanded upon. Montgomery Uno is voiced by Frank Welker

In “Operation: H.O.L.I.D.A.Y.” it is revealed that Numbuh 10 of Sector L is Nigel's cousin (Numbuh 10's father is Nigel's uncle, on his mother's side).

During the feature length episode Operation: Z.E.R.O., it is revealed that Nigel's father is the legendary Numbuh 0; the founder of the 7th (and current) age of KND. At the same time, it is also revealed that the villain Father is really “Benedict Uno”, Montgomery's younger brother. Thus, Nigel's uncle. Making Father's father, Grandfather, Nigel's actual grandfather.

Negative Numbuh 1: (Legin Onu) is a member of the Destructively Nefarious Kids, the (formerly) evil counterparts to Sector V. As the opposite to Numbuh 1, Negative Numbuh 1 is a scaredycat and rarely, if ever, talks with any confidence. He also is a bad actor, since he almost gave himself and his ex-girlfriend Eizzil (the opposite of Numbuh 1's girlfriend Lizzie Devine) away when they were pretending to be Numbuh 1 and Lizzie.

In a fictional future created using “Chester's Happy Headband”, Nigel is President of the US, and is married to Lizzie Devine with a son named Shirley, (prefers to be called Viggo), who is KND operative Numbuh 1600 (“Operation: W.H.I.T.E.-H.O.U.S.E.”).
