Wallabee "Wally" Beetles, a.k.a. Wallace, codenamed Numbuh Four or Numbuh 4 is a fictional character on Codename: Kids Next Door. He is currently voiced by Dee Bradley Baker. His Spanish voice actor is Benjamin Rivera.

He is the hand-to-hand combat expert of Sector V and tends to impulsively attack an enemy without thinking. He was once the self-declared "Temporary Numbuh 1's Not Here Leader of the Kids Next Four" (Operation: C.A.N.N.O.N.) and was eager to be chosen by Numbuh 86 as the leader of Sector V in Operation: F.E.R.A.L., though Numbuh 3 was picked.
He is often annoyed at his younger brother, Joey, who sometimes follows him and Numbuh 2 on missions. He tells him to go home when a sitution gets dangerous, likely due to concern over Joeys welfare. He became angry and tearful when Joey was cut by one of the Safety Robots in Operation: S.A.F.E.T.Y.
He was briefly decommissioned in Operation: E.N.D. along with Numbuhs 1, 2, 3, and 5. He was also the third one to briefly be supreme leader, tagged by Numbuh 86, in Operation: I.T.
In Operation O.U.T.B.R.E.A.K., it was revealed that he's allergic to coconut resulting in swollen lips (Numbuh Four forgot that when he was eating coconut logs).
Numbuh 4 has expressed some selfishness (i.e. in Operation: N.U.G.G.E.T. he wanted to eat Numbuh 3's chicken nugget that she was saving for kids who were forced to work in the hot sun all day).
He is a fourth-grader at Gallagher Elementary School (homeroom teacher is Ms. Thompson, who he had a crush on in Operation: R.O.B.B.E.R.S.); his parents try to send him to a boarding school every year, although he always breaks out by midnight. In Operation: S.N.O.W.I.N.G. he led a group of kids to shoot snowballs at the Bus-Walkers.
His alias is "The Tough Kid".

Numbuh Four supposedly speaks with an Australian accent. In Op Z.E.R.O., he seemed to be Australian, carrying around a kangaroo as a weapon and saying how to say "ouch" in Australian.

Numbuh Four could not swim (Op U.N.D.E.R.C.O.V.E.R., Op U.T.O.P.I.A.), although he wants to in No P in the OOL, until he was forced to jump into a pool to stop Negative Numbuh Four's evil plot in Operation P.O.O.L., although he still doesn't like to swim (as shown in Operation: C.A.K.E.D.-F.O.U.R. and Operation O.U.T.B.R.E.A.K). Currently, his own pool is filled with sand, in which he loves to be buried. In Operation: N.U.G.G.E.T he fell in a very shallow river and started to panic.
[edit] Attitude & Strength
He sleeps in a boxing ring in his room in Sector V's treehouse. It's been hinted that Four is somewhat of a bully, having been involved in the Bully Fights (Op M.A.T.A.D.O.R.), and having a tendency to pick on "nerdy" kids (Op B.U.L.L.I.E.S.). However it was revealed that Nigel saved him from bullies when they were younger, before they were KND agents.

He is turned into an adult briefly along with Numbuhs 1, 2, 3, and 5 in Operation: G.R.O.W.-U.P.. He wears a sleeveless orange shirt and is still the shortest of his team. According to his future self in Operation: F.U.T.U.R.E., he gets a mohawk in eighth grade, and it took years to grow back. (note: during the age changing scenes in Operation: G.R.O.W.-U.P., he did not have a mohawk when he turned into a teenager. He looks a bit taller (but still the shortest one) and has an arm band with the same clothing) Also his future self who is 85 years old is a member of the Boys Next Door, seemingly being in a futuristic-type wheelchair. He also has a hand turned into a girl's hand by Madame Margaret, although this was made to never have happened later.

Numbuh Four's mother seems to believe he possesses some musical talent, as seen in P.I.A.N.O., and was willing to go to the trouble of purchasing a ballroom sized piano with Wallabee engraved in gold on it. Numbuh Four hates playing the piano, though, and we can assume his skill is minimal. It is interesting to note, however, that while he hates learning music, Numbuh Four often rhymes and sings to himself when excited, pleased, or especially nervous or scared. (example: Operations L.I.C.E. and T.R.I.C.K.Y.)
Recently, it has been revealed that Numbuh 4 considers himself a world class master of dodgeball and this sentiment is shared by many. He outsmarted his rivals in a dodgeball game in Operation F.O.U.N.T.A.I.N., victorious and unscathed. However, his young brother Joey has shown that he practically dwarfs 4's ability, as Joey was able to beat the Dodgeball Wizard when Four couldn't (Operation D.O.D.G.E.B.A.L.L.). This is only known by Numbuh 2.

Numbuh 4 likes to bury himself in the sand (which is what he is usually doing when the KND go to the beach), although can sometimes not un-bury himself (Operation: B.E.A.C.H.).
Numbuh Four hates hamsters. He dislikes "girly" things, especially Rainbow Monkeys. The one exception to this is that he likes Numbuh Three. He also hates love, as he thinks it makes him sick (Operation: S.N.O.W.I.N.G.). He also acted sick when Numbuh 3 slow-danced with him in Operation: P.A.R.T.Y. to "blend".
In Op C.H.O.C.O.L.A.T.E. it is said that Numbuh Four hates dark chocolate, possibly due to its property to increase endorphin levels in the pleasure center of the human brain. He also mentions he hates dogs in Operation: H.O.U.N.D. Numbuh 4 likes cheese, but not as much as Numbuh 2 (Operation: C.H.E.E.S.E.). He hated Halloween before Operation: T.R.I.C.K.Y.

Since some point in season 2 (and definitely by season 3), he has been characterized as a total idiot who has been shown spelling words grossly incorrectly (Op R.O.B.B.E.R.S. and Op T.R.I.C.K.Y.), makes up things for his reports (Op H.O.U.N.D.), can't even spell his own number as Numbuh 5 stated in Op R.O.B.B.E.R.S. (also shown in the end credits of Operation: I.T.), mangling history in his homework (Op H.O.U.N.D.), and having a tiny brain (Op S.P.R.O.U.T.). Not only that, Wally seems to be unaware of his idiocy. A notable example of this is from Op C.O.L.L.E.G.E., where he says, in regard to colleges brainwashing smart kids: "If colleges are taking all the smart kids, why haven't they taken me yet?" Another example is from Op M.O.V.I.E., when the Toilenator suggests the villains should capture the KND's dumbest member and they all agree it's him, Numbuh 4 doesn't believe they could be talking about him. In some part because of this, he has occasionally done more harm than good to their missions (Op P.I.A.N.O. and Op R.O.B.B.E.R.S. standing out in particular). However, he is able to outsmart some adult villains, normally the Toiletnator. (Op M.O.V.I.E. and Op M.I.S.S.I.O.N.).
In earlier episodes, he seemed to be actually one of the smarter members; in Operation: C.A.N.N.O.N. he knew Sector V would be working if Numbuh 1 was there and was the only one who cared that villains were repeatedly attacking them; he was also the one to get Sector V active again in Operation: G.R.O.W.-U.P.; in Operation: P.O.O.L. knowing his opposite would be a coward, etc. He also helps Numbuh 2 with robots, all of which hints that he is fairly intelligent, just not school-smart.

Wally is faithful to his best friend and leader, even when he has shown an eager willingness to replace him on a number of times when Numbuh One was somehow unavailable (Ops C.A.N.N.O.N., F.E.R.A.L.). Says he is his best friend in Operation: B.R.I.E.F.

Is his other best friend. After the Numbuh Three/Four pairing, Hoagie and Wally have shared a large number of missions together (Ops F.I.S.H.Y., B.E.A.C.H.), sometimes even without having any other member of Sector V appearing in the episode (Ops D.O.D.G.E.B.A.L.L., T.H.E.-S.H.O.G.U.N., S.A.F.E.T.Y.). Numbuh 2 is usually portrayed as Wally's "coach" in these occasions, and Wally's little brother, Joey, has also joined them twice.

Abby does not think much of Numbuh 4 (her worst fear is that he become the president of the United States). She often teases him about his not-so-secret crush with Numbuh Three, sometimes even with Numbuh 2 (Op B.E.A.C.H.). This makes her and Hoagie the only members of Sector V to be apparently aware of Wally's crush, though Abby has often shown a higher disposition to teasing him about it.

Because of them flirting with Numbuh 3 or thinking she is cute, Numbuh 4 becomes jealous and has developed some rivalry with King Sandy and The Kid.

Numbuh Four has a not-so-secret crush on Numbuh Three. One of the show's running gags is his attempts to either confess to her or deny his feelings for her. References to his love for her have ranged from simple acts of defiance in earlier episodes (such as Operation O.F.F.I.C.E.) to more poignant subplots in later ones (Operation E.N.D.). So far, proof to this crush has materialized in: Numbuh Four being heartbroken of Numbuh Three's apparent crush on somebody (Op H.O.S.P.I.T.A.L.), simple flirtation with other kids (The Kid in particular; Ops R.E.C.E.S.S. and C.A.K.E.D.-F.O.U.R.), abduction of Numbuh Three (Ops B.E.A.C.H. and K.A.S.T.L.E., both times by King Sandy), occasions where he had to dance or sing with her (Ops. D.A.T.E. and L.O.V.E. and P.A.R.T.Y.) as well as countless times where they are paired in a mission, by chance or will. Furthermore, Numbuh Four has come to nearly confess his feelings for her (Op U.N.D.E.R.C.O.V.E.R.) and has a drawing of her taped to the wall of his room (Op S.N.O.W.I.N.G.). In Op S.A.T.U.R.N., he talked in his sleep: "So you do like me too? Well why didn't you say it before? You know how I feel." He has a code of making matters "personal" whenever he hurts Numbuh Three in a way he did not intend (Ops C.A.T.S., etc.). When Numbuh Three is kidnapped by King Sandy in Operation: B.E.A.C.H, he goes to great lengths to save her, his excuse being that she owes him a quarter (which she later denies). In Operation: Z.E.R.O, they kiss, albeit at the request of Numbuh Three, who had turned a senior city-zombie in the dark. Nevertheless, Numbuh Four's willingness to do so proves his feelings for her.
He is the only character whom she repeatedly hugs (and asks to say "I love you" in Operation C.A.T.S.), sings a duet with him (Operation L.O.V.E.), etc. She's usually seen by him. Many Numbuh 3/4 fans are excited about the upcoming episode, Operation: P.L.A.N.E.T., where they are sent on a mission to space alone. Supposedly, this will shed more light on their relationship. She was also his date in Operation: D.A.T.E. It is also very strange in Operation S.L.U.M.B.E.R, that he was Numbuh 4-30-teen-7, now if you think about it, it say's 4 then 3 which equals's 7.

In Operation: E.N.D. Numbuh 86 admitted that she thought Numbuh 4 was cute before she decommissioned him.

Numbuh 4 thought Ms. Thompson was cute in Operation: R.O.B.B.E.R.S., thus doing his homework. He has never shown a crush on her again.

Numbuh Four wears an orange hoody, baggy jeans and white sneakers. In Operation: R.E.C.E.S.S. his hoody is shown to have a through pocket in front.
Like his brother, he has round blonde hair. His fringe usually covers his eyes. He is the shortest member of Sector V.
Trivia: His hood looks like a kangaroo's tail (his first name is Wallabee, a spoof on wallaby).

Numbuh 4's negative side appeared in Operation P.O.O.L. when his pool opened a negative world. Negative Numbuh 4 has a goat-t, so everyone calls him "goat boy", "the nasty" and "GOATtie". He and Numbuh 4 have nothing in common at all...well...except swimming. In this episode, Numbuh 4 learned how to swim and concured his fear of it.
Kuki seemed to be proud of Wally at the end of that episode.

- He is named after a wallaby, a real life Australian animal which is sometimes (but rarely) spelled wallabee. His baby brother, Joey, is the name of infant wallabies and kangaroos.
- His last name is spelled 'Beetles' and not 'Beatles', even if it is a clear reference to the Liverpool Quartet, because a malinformation from the show creator (who didn't get that the name of the band came from BEAT and not from the insects).
- In Operation: C.A.K.E.D., Numbuh 4 was referred to as Wallace, not Wallabee.
- In the original advertisements he was called "Wannabe," which was an ironic typo because he looked like a wanna-be Beatle.
