Number Ten is a 2002 novel by Sue Townsend. It is about Prime Minister Edward Clare's attempt to take an incognito vacation with his bodyguard, Jack Sprat - in order to discover what his country thinks of him and his time in office - and the consequences that ensue for both men and their country. It is often satirical of current UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, his family and the 2002 Cabinet.
