Nueva bachata

Nueva bachata, or "Bachateo", is a musical movement in the Dominican Republic which combines bachata melodies and reggaeton style beats, lyrics, rapping, and disc jockeying. It is a Sub genre of Reggaeton and Bachata. La Fabrica is said to be the pioneers of this musical movement, along with Krisspy and Grupo Aguakate. Many different reggaetoneros and groups around Latin America have experimented with this style, including Ingco Crew, Don Omar on "Pobre Diabla", "Dile", Daddy Yankee on "Lo Que Paso Paso" Mojiganga, Michalle Pie, Grupo Mania or Andy Andy. One of the most famous songs is "Ven Bailalo" from Kriz Y Angel.

Bacha-rengue or Bachatarengue is a further subgenre of Nueva bachata. This is a fusion of bachata guitar and melodies with merengue-style beats and rhythms, such as the sounding of the tambora and guira. The guitar can even sometimes replace the merengue accordion. Occasionaly, a reggaeton dem bow beat can be added.
