Nucleus Medical Art, based in Atlanta, Georgia, is a production company specializing in medical illustrations, animations, interactive media, and other educational material for patients, consumers and professionals. Their customers include publishers, health care web sites, medical institutions, pharmaceutical companies, medical device manufacturers, attorneys, health care professionals, and others with an interest in medical or scientific subjects.
The company was co-founded in 1996 by Ronald L. Collins and Keith A. Pavlik, and employs one of the largest staffs of medical illustrators in the world. The company owns and operates a number of web sites providing custom and stock medical images for various audiences, including the Nucleus Catalog, Medical Legal Art, The Doe Report, the Scientific & Medical Art Imagebase, and Nucleus Health.
Nucleus Medical Art's programming staff, headed by Michael Shambaugh, operates ParticleWEB, a business subunit specializing in web design, application development and web hosting. The primary product sold by ParticleWEB is ClientSmart, a web-based application used by mystery shoppers.
