NTSC-US
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
NTSC-US (also known as "NTSC-U/C") is essentially an analog television system and standard for North America (including Canada, Mexico, and the United States).
- It is essentially the NTSC standard which is tagged with 'US' to designate where it is specifically used.

It also defines the video gaming region of North America as regional lockout usually restricts games released within a region to that region. This basically stems from the incompatibility of regional systems with each other and to keep games that may have legal issues to be sorted out in that region from being imported from other regions where the game has been released.
