[edit] Scarsdale cars

Hey one thing I need help with. Do you remember anything else about this car, or this one (this seems to be the interior)? I don't recognize these at all but they're kind of cool... --SFoskett 14:28, 27 May 2006 (UTC)

Oops got it - they're Bitter SCs. --SFoskett 14:39, 27 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wrong ip

<BODY> <FOCUS> <CONCLUSION, SUGGESTIONS> <THANKS> <SIG>

   <CHANGE>
INTRO::

Hey, you sent someone a message about bad edits to this ip. First I would like to say that the message you sent was clear and neutral, very effective.

BODY::

1) It wasn't me 2) I am at a hotel on wireless internet

 // Relevant because I don't know how ip adresses are assigned on wireless
FOCUS::

3) Either

 a) Anyone who connects to the wireless at this hotel gets the same, or a number of the same, ip address(es)
   or
 b) Somehow someone else's ip was randomly assigned to me, which is some ridiculous once in the universe chance.
CONCLUSION, SUGGESTIONS::

1) I would usually just not worry about it because I really don't care 2) But, if there is some <don't message> or <don't allow these people to edit> list of ip addresses, then this is one of them to put on it.

THANKS::

The edit made from here was pretty stupid anyway, why do people without accounts have the ability to edit? No matter, thanks for putting your time into editing, makes Wiki that much nicer for the rest of us. Have a nice day!

SIG::

~~newly password-protected hailf.cbpb.com server only accessible through koregate deathwarez lets you know:~~ `~FEEL FREE TO USE CLEARTHOUGHT SYNTAX, BUT PLEASE JUST ON MESSAGE BOARDS, EMAILS THAT LOOK LIKE THIS JUST MAKE YOU LOOK IGNORANT~`

CHANGE::

Didn't see the 4-tilde was code-enforced, but my comment hasn't shown up on your talk page, so here's try number two: 65.208.137.50 05:57, 19 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Confirmation

Yeah this is shared, so if there is a block list, throw this one on...only good can come of it. If anyone really wants to edit usefully, I'm sure they'll get an accounts. No need to respond, I'm gone this morning. 65.208.137.50 15:00, 19 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Gilad Shalit.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Gilad Shalit.jpg. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 20:51, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] bad edits

you messaged me about some vandalizations that i had made on the oc page (fox tv show) and "kiev oblast". I didn't make these changes, and i have no idea what either of those things are (though after reading their wikis i am sufficiently more informed). I don't really care about the warning or whatever since I didn't do it, but the changes that I myself have actually made are small corrections and typo fixes, which I believe helps the wiki community. Please get back to me if there was a decision made in error @ freemoney1@gmail.com.

[edit] Image:Emory Quad Panorama.jpg listed for deletion

An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:Emory Quad Panorama.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please look there to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. [edit] Request: Permission to use image in upcoming Superformance wikipedia article

Howdy, I was wondering if I could use your picture, "[Image:Shelby_Superperformance_427-435hp_Driveable_Chassis.JPG] [sic]" in an upcoming wikipedia article for Replicar company Superformance (spelling is correct [[1]]). Thank you for your time. - BMan1113VR 23:23, 28 December 2006 (UTC)

Thanks! -BMan1113VR 00:04, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Emory Crest.gif)

Thanks for uploading Image:Emory Crest.gif. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. MECUtalk 03:23, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] No assertion of permission for Image:Emory University Seal.gif

I have tagged Image:Emory University Seal.gif for speedy deletion. Per the source you cited, the image is restricted to official use only, and there is no indication given that Wikipedia has received clearance to use the image. Accordingly, the image appears to infringe on Emory's rights as owner of the image.

As it is unfree, I am also reverting the image out of the Emory University article.

This issue was previously discussed at Talk:Emory University, including the specific issues of the restrictions on Emory's seal. Please discuss the issue further there before making changes to the image. Thank you, —C.Fred (talk) 02:49, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

As it is a university logo, I don't think it would be unreasonable to claim fair use on it, and the rules on the Emory visual identity site don't really apply to us for our purposes. The problem is that it's not the seal used on 99% of university correspondence and web sites, and the PNG I uploaded a few months ago is. Whether it looks like the seals used by other universities isn't really a concern. At any rate, the consensus in the discussions we've had on the talk page have concluded that the simpler seal is the preferable logo for the article. ptkfgs 03:12, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
