[edit] Notable Pitt people
Do you happen to know the year that the men you added to the List of notable University of Pittsburgh people graduated from Pitt or what degrees they earned? It would help a lot. Thanks for adding to the list, by the way.--Chris Griswold 20:26, 5 July 2006 (UTC)
- Richard M. Simpson graduated in 1923, degree unknown. Harve Tibbott graduated in 1906 in pharmacy. Robert J. Corbett was in 1929, degree unknown.
- Thanks. Bachelors' degrees?--Chris Griswold 00:35, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry, unknown. I'll keep it in mind as I continue to do research and let you know if I come across anything else.Npeters22 12:31, 6 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Project Congress
Based on your recent (great!) contributions to articles regarding Pennsylvania's past members of Congress, you may want to consider joining us at Wikipedia:WikiProject U.S. Congress. —Markles 04:54, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Francis E. Walter
If you find a page with an incorrect title, then the technique to use is to "Move" the page. "Cut and paste" moves lose the edit history of the previous article. -Will Beback 20:31, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Charles Clarence Pratt
Is there a typo in this article? First paragraph is about Pratt, but the second starts out talking about someone named Henry W. Palmer. I know you've been doing a lot of congressmen. Some other congressman's name? I happened to stumble on this one, thought I'd let you know. Fan-1967 19:06, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks. I use cut and paste to save me some time and achieve consistency, but every so often I miss a required change.Npeters22 19:20, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Userpage
I came across some of your congressional articles and am glad you are contributing in this area. I note on your userpage that you are trying to get an article done on every Pennsylvania Congressman "from the US Civil War to 1900" but then you list several 20th-century Members. Is "1900" a typo, or did you expand the scope of your work? (Also, Rep. Hoyer's first name is "Steny" with one "n".) Best regards, Newyorkbrad 18:18, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for noticing. I had been working on the Congressmen from 1900 to WWI most recently, but I completed that project just today. The last one was Samuel A. Davenport added at 17:18, 25 August 2006. I try to work in a managable time period, but also will drift off in random directions if a subject interests me or I get into a "Tetris" mode of editing. Sometimes I just hate seeing that spot of red in a sea of blue. Npeters22 19:37, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
- I agree with you -- some of my own biographical articles get started for the same reason. Regards, Newyorkbrad 19:53, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] List of islands by name
Hi Npeters22, I saw your contributions to the list: great work in progress! :) Best regards, Brz7 22:20, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for noticing. Something hypnotic about those flags. Npeters22 12:28, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Wikimeet?
Since you indicated that you live in Pittsburgh, you may be interested in a Wikimeet I'm trying to set up in Pittsburgh. You may join the discussion at Wikipedia talk:Meetup/Pittsburgh if you're intersted. We currently have 4 interested users, and we're trying to get that up to 5 or more. Once we have at least 5 interested people, we can then discuss the time and location. (Note: If for any reason you do not wish to participate, simply ignore this message.) [edit] Thanks
Thanks for your efforts at ENMU! Amazing that someone in PA knows about this small school in NM! --198.59.190.201 19:55, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
- Once again, thanks for your newest efforts at ENMU. --198.59.190.201 20:10, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] ==United States Congressional Delegations from Pennsylvania==
You seem to be the keeper of this article. That's why I'm coming to you. The reps need more than just color-coding for parties (although the colors are good). Each rep should have a party abbreviation. See United States Congressional Delegations from Massachusetts, for examples. Thanks! —Markles 20:43, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
I've found a nice, reliable, online source for getting the names of the people in Congressional delegations: http://www.gpoaccess.gov/serialset/cdocuments/hd108-222/index.html , but I'm not sure how best to incoporate it into the many, many articles we have that could use it as a reference. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. JesseW, the juggling janitor 04:33, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] List of United States Representatives from Foo
Please see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of United States Representatives from Minnesota. It is about to get deleted (any day now) and I think that would be a shame. —Markles 21:01, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Isaac Van Horne
Hi, I seem to be having a bit of trouble adding info to his biog. He was a member of Congress from Bucks Co. before and maybe during the first year or so that it met in DC. Then he went West and became really perhaps as important in Ohio. His biog info has aleady been kind of a fuss, as the Congress Website folks dug in their heals after they made a typo in his place of residence, and wouldn't even accept that they have the correct info in their own Library. IVH was b Solebury Bucks Co PA and lived there until 1805 when he went to Ohio, also I've got quite a bit more info on him, since he wrote an autobiography and was Adjutant General of the Ohio Militia during the War of 1812, was a founding member of the Society of Cincinnati, and President of a number of Businesses in the then State Capital of Ohio (Zanesville) any help here appreciated John5Russell3Finley 00:01, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
