Novoshakhtinsk

Novoshakhtinsk (Russian: Новоша́хтинск) is a city in Rostov Oblast, Russia. Population: 101,131 (2002 Census).

It is best known outside of Russia as the birthplace of Masha Allen, the subject of an international search when her image was seen frequently in confiscated collections of child pornography online. She had been adopted by an American man, Matthew Mancuso, who regularly molested her in addition to photographing her in sexual poses. After he was arrested on charges of distributing child porn online, she was removed to a foster parent and later identified.
