Novoeumeces algeriensis

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Novoeumeces algeriensis is quite similar to the european name Eumeces algeriensis. Eumeces schneideri is probably the more known type of eumeces. Though, it has got a more cylindrical body, and is more thinner than the algeriensis in the juvenile age.

As you might see, the algeriensis has got a wider head, shorter body and a more muscular body than the Schneider's Skink. You can also tell the difference from the two Berberskinks, by looking at the scales on their head. Also, the algeriensis has got black & white stripes, which the schneideri doesn't have.
